History

The Foundation was incorporated in the state of Ohio in April 1977 with the specific purpose to encourage and assist high school graduates of our Alpha Esquire program to further their education. The Foundation has been designated as a non-profit 501c3 Corporation by the Internal Revenue Service, therefore contributions are tax deductible; Tax ID# 31-1010069.

Since our inception, the Foundation has:

• Provided over $250K in scholarships to students, as well as,
• Provided personal, educational and social development experiences to over 1500 youth in the Central Ohio Community. 

The activities of the Foundation include: 

• Awarding scholarships and/or grants to further their education beyond high school.
• Receive and maintain funds for educational purposes and related activities.
• Solicit and raise funds to achieve the purposes of the Foundation.
• Receive grants and gifts to contribute to other organizations that are operated for educational and related purposes.

The Foundation encompasses the implementation of our national programs, such as Go-to-High School, Go-to-College; Project Alpha and several scholarship opportunities. Donate today to help the Education Foundation reach its goals.

MISSION

The Mission Statement of the Alpha Rho Lambda Education Foundation is to obtain resources needed to promote scholarship, encourage personal development, and community based educational programs for all people, with a specific focus on youth.

VISION

The Alpha Rho Lambda Education Foundation will be the premier nonprofit, community development organization of its size in the greater Central Ohio area. The Foundation will also be an innovator and leader in helping to uplift the youth in the communities in which we serve. Lastly, the Foundation will establish and maintain strategic alliances with organizations and communities that are aligned with the Foundation’s mission and shared similar goals.
